Under the mystical mist of Sintra, at the breathtaking Quinta da Bella Vista, Sonya and Mike lived a two‑act love story. The first day awakened with a Rehearsal & Sangeet—a vibrant tapestry of ritual, music, and color where ancient Indian traditions flowed into a contemporary pulse. Voices intertwined, hands moved in rhythm, and every moment crackled with anticipation.
On the second day, nature became their sanctuary. Surrounded by the lush greenery of the gardens, their civil ceremony unfolded in an atmosphere of serenity and intimacy. Wrapped in warmth and love, vows became whispers carried by the breeze—an embrace shared with all who were there.

Sob o véu místico de Sintra, na deslumbrante Quinta da Bella Vista, a Sonya e o Mike viveram uma história de amor em dois atos. O primeiro dia despertou com um Rehearsal & Sangeet — um vibrante tapete de rituais, música e cor, onde antigas tradições indianas se fundiam num pulsar contemporâneo. Vozes entrelaçavam-se, mãos moviam-se em sintonia, e cada momento ardia de antecipação.

Authentic. Genuine. Real. Overwhelming. I could write many adjectives, but none would be enough to describe the wedding of Theresa and João. She is German, he is Portuguese, but they live in the USA. They chose Sintra and the Quinta da Bellavista as the stage to express their love for each other. That string that connected all the guests during the ceremony allowed each one to feel the rings and deposit all their wishes of love for the couple. A moment that left me moved. And I believe everyone else too. Here is a glimpse of the day.

QUINTA DO EDEN, AVEIRO / SOFIA + BRUNO
Anyone who knows me is aware of how special the São Gonçalinho festivities here in Aveiro are to me and my family. Throwing cavacas from the top of the chapel is more than a tradition — it’s a heartfelt expression of faith, even for someone like me who isn’t particularly religious. It lives within me.
When Sofia and Bruno hired me to film their wedding, I had no idea they were also devoted — along with their whole family. I later found out that Sofia’s grandmother lives right next to the chapel...
So it felt only natural that their pre-wedding session took place in January, right in the heart of the festivities.
What a joy it was to share that with them.
The wedding that followed was absolutely unforgettable.

Quem me conhece sabe o quão especiais são para mim — e para a minha família — as festas em honra de São Gonçalinho, aqui em Aveiro. Atirar cavacas do alto da capela é mais do que uma tradição; é uma fé sentida, mesmo para alguém que não se considera muito religioso. Está cá dentro.
Quando a Sofia e o Bruno me escolheram para filmar o casamento deles, ainda não sabia que também eram devotos. Eles — e toda a família. Descobri que a avó da Sofia mora mesmo ao lado da capela...
Por isso, foi mais do que natural que a sessão pré-casamento acontecesse em janeiro, durante as festas.
E que emoção foi partilhar tudo isso com eles.
O casamento que se seguiu foi simplesmente incrível.
Aqui fica apenas um pedacinho da história deles.

QUINTA DO ÉDEN, AVEIRO / MAFALDA + PEDRO
Mafalda and Pedro chose us in 2019 to capture on wedding film what they always said would be "the party of the year." They even challenged us to go to Vienna, Austria, to document a bit of what they love to do as a couple – travel. However, the long-awaited wedding of Mafalda and Pedro, initially planned for 2020, only took place in 2023. The 2020 pandemic forced a postponement. Meanwhile, a beautiful daughter emerged, adding even more meaning to their love.
In 2023, at the incredible Quinta do Éden in Aveiro, they could finally exchange their vows of love in an emotional ceremony. The following celebration was an explosion of joy, hugs, and emotion. This wedding not only celebrated love but also the strength of commitment in the face of challenges, leaving a legacy of extraordinary memories for Mafalda, Pedro, and their daughter. May the journey continue to be marked by joy, complicity, and many unforgettable moments.

A Mafalda e o Pedro escolheram-nos em 2019 para registar em filme, aquele que sempre disseram que ia ser "a festa do ano". Desafiaram-nos ainda para irmos até Viena (Áustria) para registarmos um pouco daquilo que mais gostam de fazer em casal (viajar). Mas o tão esperado casamento de Mafalda e Pedro, inicialmente planeado para 2020, só ocorreu em 2023. A pandemia de 2020 forçou a um adiamento. Entretanto surgiu uma filha linda, que trouxe ainda mais significado ao seu amor. Em 2023 , na incrível Quinta do Éden, em Aveiro, puderam trocar finalmente os seus votos de amor numa cerimónia emotiva. A festa que se seguiu foi uma explosão de alegria, abraços e emoção. Este casamento não apenas celebrou o amor, mas também evidenciou a força do compromisso diante dos desafios, deixando um legado de memórias extraordinárias para Mafalda, o Pedro e sua filha. Que a jornada continue a ser marcada por alegrias, cumplicidade e muitos momentos inesquecíveis. Que privilegiados que somos por contar estas histórias.

One love, two ceremonies, and Sintra as the backdrop. Taylin and Nima chose Portugal to seal their love for each other. As Nima has Iranian roots, they decided to include this ceremony on the day. Like most Iranians, who come from diverse religious backgrounds, the Sofreh Aghd is a chosen cultural ceremony commonly practiced irrespective of faith. This ceremonial spread holds many symbolic items, each representing an element of the couple’s new life and marriage together. The word 'sofreh' translates to 'spread,' and 'aghd' means 'ceremony.' It was the first time we witnessed this ceremony.
Sintra's serene atmosphere and timeless charm crafted a unique experience, gently weaving into the couple's love story, resulting in unforgettable moments that will last a lifetime.

Um amor, duas cerimónias e Sintra como cenário. A Taylin e o Nima escolheram Portugal para selar o seu amor. Como o Nima tem raízes iranianas, decidiram incluir esta cerimónia no dia. Como a maioria dos iranianos, provenientes de diversas origens religiosas, o Sofreh Aghd é uma cerimónia cultural comum praticada independentemente da fé. Esta disposição cerimonial inclui muitos itens simbólicos, cada um representando um elemento da nova vida e casamento do casal. A palavra 'sofreh' se traduz como 'disposição' e 'aghd' significa 'cerimônia'. Foi a primeira vez que testemunhamos esta cerimónia. A atmosfera serena e charme atemporal de Sintra criaram uma experiência única, entrelaçando suavemente na história de amor do casal, resultando em momentos inesquecíveis que durarão toda a vida.

The magnificent Basilica da Estrela set the stage for the ceremony, where Simon's passionate look at Yala melted our hearts. Este local proporcionou o cenário perfeito para a incrível festa, onde a alegria e a energia positiva dos convidados se fundiram entre danças contagiantes e risos intermináveis.

Florence and Eugen reached out to us to capture their wedding in Switzerland, and we were immediately enchanted by their story. Their Aramaic background, strong family ties, and the desire for a traditional ceremony ignited a deep connection within us, making us want to fly to those breathtaking mountains right away. The prospect of being part of an Aramaic wedding added an extra layer of significance to this joyous occasion, emphasizing the rich cultural tapestry woven into their celebration. As a videographer, the joy of traveling to different locations and experiencing new cultures is immeasurable.

A sua origem aramaica, os fortes laços familiares e o desejo por uma cerimónia tradicional , despertaram uma conexão profunda em nós, nos fazendo-nos querer imediatamente voar para aquelas montanhas deslumbrantes. A perspectiva de fazer parte de um casamento aramaico acrescentou uma camada extra de significado a essa ocasião, enfatizando o rico tecido cultural entrelaçado na sua união.
