A TRIP TO JAPAN / AMI + JAN ENGAGEMENT SESSION
In April this year (2024), I was fortunate enough to travel to Japan to film a solo session with Ami and Jan Henning. They are getting married in Portugal later this year and wanted to capture a bit of their life in Tokyo. It was an irresistible invitation to visit the largest city in the world, and even better, with the company of my brother, with whom I had never managed to take a big trip. Ami and Jan welcomed us with open arms, and getting to know the city through their eyes was very special. The largest city in the world with 37 million inhabitants can be overwhelming. There are so many people, everywhere you look or go. But despite its size, Tokyo surprised me with its organization, cleanliness, and the silence of its people. The respect of the Japanese for others, for themselves, for the rules, and for each person’s space (even psychological space) was something that truly impressed me. I want to go back. I want to return with my family if possible. Everything still feels like a dream, and I can't wait to soon show the film we made there. For now, just a few photos.
UMA VIAGEM AO JAPÃO / AMI + JAN SESSÃO SOLTEIROS
Em abril deste ano (2024) tive a sorte de poder viajar para o Japão para filmar uma sessão de solteiros com Ami e Jan Henning. Eles vêm casar a Portugal ainda este ano e quiseram registar um pouco da sua vida em Tóquio. Um convite irrecusável para visitar a maior cidade do mundo e ainda para mais, com a companhia do meu irmão, com o qual nunca tinha conseguido fazer uma grande viagem. A Ami e o Jan, receberam-nos de braços abertos e poder conhecer a cidade também pelos seus olhos, foi muito especial. A maior cidade do mundo com 37 milhões de habitantes consegue ser avassaladora. São muitas pessoas, para onde quer que olhemos ou vamos. Mas apesar do seu tamanho, Tóquio surpreendeu-me pea organização, limpeza e silêncio das pessoas. O respeito dos Japoneses pelo próximo, por si, pelas regras e pelo espaço de cada um (mesmo que psicológico) foi algo que me apaixonou. Quero voltar. Voltar com a minha família se possível. Ainda tudo parece um sonho e quero em breve mostrar o filme que fizemos lá. Para já apenas algumas fotografias.
